AGAT 8 ® SINGLE PHASE PREPAYMENT METER

Using the economical AGAT 8 meter family design as the base metering device, MZEP has incorporated the important AMR system connectivity without unnecessary extra costly features. This makes the AGAT 8 meter just as easy to configure and operate as your other installed meters.
The Single Phase Prepayment Energy Meter acquires STS (Standard Transfer Specification) certificate which can accept STS code entry. The meter can perform multi-rate TOU (Time Of Use) metering of active, reactive and apparent energy and can contain different communication modules. It can be configured on the AMR system by adding an appropriate hub, and also switch between pre-payment/ post-payment (bill revenue collection mode) based on actual usage. The meter can also be used to as “split” meter, consisting of two components: the MCU (Measurement Control Unit) and CIU (User Interface Unit). The MCU is installed outside the customer’s premises in a meter housing, while the CIU is located inside the customer’s premises.
MZEP is bridging the gap between standalone revenue metering and AMR system connected point metering.
